Silva Stories was the final project for our social web class. My teams goal was to design a social networking site that enabled users to build on each others stories.

We studied different collaborative sites and applications such as Wikipedia, Secondlife and World of warcrafts. We also researched on the different existing design patterns used in collaborative websites. After creating four low fidelity prototypes for our different solutions, we presented them to prospective users to seek feedback. We also conducted online surveys to find out which design was more compelling.

Our aim was to design a social networking site that enabled users to build on each others stories. Our team.Designed and compared the effectiveness of four ideas based on collaboration vs non collaboration and short term vs long term involvement. We investigated story building with long term and short term collaboration.
